Dr. Frank Bennett had the pleasure of teaching courses in "Cross Cultural Jazz" and "History of Jazz" at UCLA. He also taught graduate courses in Indian Carnatic music and Western music theory at Yale University and a course in big band jazz at Colgate University. He was a staff arranger for the Yale Jazz Ensemble from 1972-1978 under director Dr. David Mott.  In addition, Mrs. Geetha Bennett and Frank have given concerts and/or lecture-demonstrations at the Eastman School of Music; the Yale School of Music; SUNY, Oneonta; Occidental College, Pasadena, CA;  Duke University;  East Carolina State University; N.C. Chapel Hill; UNC Greensboro; and many other schools and many community Hindu temples throughout the U.S. Many of Frank's compositions and arrangements, based on Indian Carnatic music, have been performed at Bridgeport University, Connecticut; California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, CA; NYU, New York City; Wesleyan University, CT; and others.
