David is responsible for maintaining fieldwork equipment, overseeing the Ethnomusicology Lab, and providing audio-visual assistance for department events. He received his BA degree in Music Composition, and his MA degree in Ethnomusicology from UCLA. In addition to working at UCLA, he is involved with a variety of musical groups both on- and off-campus, and composes electronic concrete pieces. His main instruments are drum set, Arabic percussion, and sampler/synth/sequencer.
