This double CD, compiled by Jacqueline Cogdell DjeDje, has just been released by UCLA Ethnomusicology Publications. It is a companion to her book, Fiddling in West Africa: Touching the Spirit in Fulbe, Hausa, and Dagbamba Cultures, which will be published by Indiana University Press in late 2007. A songbook containing song texts, musical transcriptions, the bios of fiddlers, and more, also will be published by UCLA Ethnomusicology Publications in late 2007.
