David Martinelli works for the Ethnomusicology Department, where he oversees the computer lab, provides live sound support, and documents department events. He also works for the School of Arts and Architecture Technical Services Office, where he is responsible for digitizing sound examples for class use and other special projects for the faculty in both the Music and Ethnomusicology departments. David is also a percussionist and composer, specializing in Middle Eastern, improvised, and electronic music, and performs often in the Los Angeles area.
