Spring concert, 2006 The Music of West Africa Ensemble (Ethnomusicology 91/161E) performs the music and dances of the Ewe people of Ghana and Togo, the Fon of Benin, and the Ashanti of Ghana. The ensemble produces complex polyphonic textures on a variety of drums, bells and rattles to accompany dramatic and entertaining social dances.
