The Ensemble performs in its entirety every year during the Spring Festival of World Music, held in Schoenberg Hall.
An audience of three to five hundred enjoys a night of powerful music and dance, with inspiring improvisations and performances from the thirty to fifty musicians on stage that often include numerous guest artists. The accompanying video clip from the 1997 UCLA Spring festival features the Near East Ensemble directed by Prof. Jihad Racy, with guest percussionist Souhail Kaspar and guest dancer Sahra.
