Those wishing to pursue a career in K-12 music teaching and other forms of music education can do so in the Department of Music. The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music has the only music education B.A. degree in the University of California system that leads directly to a music teaching certificate without the necessity of additional study beyond the B.A. degree.

There are no graduate degrees in music education.
