The Music Department offers B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in the composition of classical concert music and music for film and visual media.

In the Ethnomusicology Department composition in the fields of jazz and popular music may be studied within the Jazz Studies and World Music concentrations of the B.A. degree in ethnomusicology.
