Donald Kachamba, a well-known musician from Malawi in southeast Africa, taught a lecture and performance course at UCLA in Fall 1999 as part of the Department of Ethnomusicology's "Year of African Music." This recording is a project produced by students who worked with Kachamba during his UCLA residence.
