MARTHA RIDER, previously the Accountant for the Department of Music, has been appointed as the new Management Services Officer for the Departments of Music and Ethnomusicology. Over the next few months she will be taking over the duties formerly assigned to Betty Price, who retired in February, 2008, which included managing the administrative responsibilities for these two departments. hnomusicology. Her major responsibilities include financial management and analysis; material and facilities management; supervision of contract and grant administration; supervision of academic and apprentice personnel activities; and supervision and utilization of all staff personnel. She will also acted as a liaison between the departments and other University departments, University central administration, and outside agencies.

She is married and has one daughter and 4 step-children.  She  has three step-grandchildren (whom she adores).   She loves to sail and travel, but mostly, She enjoys spending  time with her family and friends.
