The Sounds of Singing: Nina Eidsheim’s Body Music | Print |

eidsheimbodyopera

Musicology professor Nina Eidsheim is collaborating with composer Alba Triana on a new opera that examines the physical process of singing. Premiering in Bogotá this summer, Body Music relies on technology as well as Eidsheim’s and Triana’s ongoing study of the motions—muscular and skeletal, deliberate or involuntary—that produce the sounds of singing.

The opera and its creative process were featured in an online article from UCIRA’s State of the Arts. For the full article, click here.
