The Ensemble, led by Lindsey Strand-Polyak, will perform a concert of music from the seventeenth-century German and Austrian courts. As well as featuring native composers Heinrich Ignaz Biber, Johann Schmelzer, Johann Vierdanck and Hans Leo Hassler, the concert will also present works by Italian violin virtuosi Carlo Farina and Biago Marini, who imported the dynamic new Venetian style to the German courts.

This concert will be held at the Powell Library Rotunda as part of the UCLA Library's "Music in the Rotunda" series. The rotunda is on the second floor of the Powell Library Building, which is directly across from Royce Hall. Admission to the concerts is free, and seating is unreserved.
