On November 3rd, Jorge Luis Uzcátegui, DMA conducting studentn in the Department of Music, conducted the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Ciudad de Asunción at the Municipal Theater of Asunción, Paraguay. The program included Gershwin Piano Concerto and Tchaikovsky 5th Symphony. Following the performance, Jorge received an invitation from Maestro Luis Szarán, music director of the OSCA, to guest conduct the orchestra again twice during the 2012 season.  Jorge was also invited to conduct the Orquesta de Cámara Municipal de Asunción for the 2012 season as well. This invitation was extended by the music director of the OCMA, Maestro Miguel Ángel Echeverría.
