Jake Jamieson is a performer and educator in Los Angeles on drum set and percussion. As a performer, he has been called to play nationally and internationally in a variety of musical styles ranging from jazz to Indian classical to hip hop to opera. As an educator, Jake focuses on drum set and percussion performance, awkwardness in musical and social situations, the history and future of jazz, and world music education. He is also the author of the ebook Essential Rhythmic Concepts for the Serious Musician, which demystifies complex rhythms through the use of world music theory.
