The sixth annual World Music Summer Institute took place from June 26 - July 2, 2011 in the Schoenberg Music Building. Thirty-three high school and community college students from Southern California, Northern California, and Arizona, attended the one-week program, designed to expose participants to the repertoire, styles, and history of the music of African Americans, China, Korea, and Mexico. Students indicated that it was a great learning experience, one that they will never forget!
