Professor Steve Loza served as musical director for the Latin Theater Company's presentation of "La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin" at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, on December 7 and 8, 2006.

Ethnomusicology graduate students Jorge Herrera, Leticia Soto, and Alexandro Hernandez also performed.

The visually stunning and musically inspiring story of Our Lady of Guadalupe featured mezzo soprano Suzanna Guzman as La Virgen de Guadalupe, and Hollywood actor Sal Lopez as Saint Juan Diego, in the story of Mary's miraculous apparitions to the Indian Juan Diego in the hills of Tepeyac, Mexico, in 1531.
