UCLA adjunct assistant professor of ethnomusicology and celebrated jazz composer Gerald Wilson was one of three individuals selected for the UCLA 2006 Distinguished Teaching Award for non-Senate faculty. He was also interviewed recently on National Public Radio's "Fresh Air" on the occasion of his 88th birthday.
