For academic year 2007-8, the director of undergraduate studies is Tara Browner. Her e-mail address is tbrowner@ucla.edu, and her office is located at 2679 Schoenberg Music Building.

Professor Browner is available during office hours (Mondays from 2pm-3pm) or by appointment (Tuesday afternoons, some Wednesday afternoons and evenings, and some Friday afternoons) to discuss general aspects of the program, and to help you navigate your way through out new curriculum, including decisions about your degree emphasis. She also works with the Ethnomusicology Undergraduate Student Organization (EUSO) to assist in providing special programming and events for undergraduate students. And as someone who herself attended a California Community College, Professor Browner has a special interest in helping transfer students make the most of their time at UCLA, and can give advice on how to negotiate the system as a transfer student that comes from real world experience.
