Balkan Ensemble

Syllabus

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
For instrumental lessons, no previous musical experience is necessary. For the choir a brief audition will determine whether you can carry a tune. For the instrumental dance ensemble, you should be able to play a standard Western musical instrument and be able to read music.

GRADING:
Regular attendance at once-a-week rehearsals is required. Other small-group rehearsals and private lessons can also be arranged on an ad hoc basis.

Grades are based solely on attendance at weekly rehearsals.
One unexcused absence is allowed per quarter. After that one absence the grade will be reduced according to the following chart. There are no makeup assignments. The concert at the end of the quarter is mandatory for everyone!
