The Financial Aid office, http://www.fao.ucla.edu/index.htm, is a helpful resource for answers to financial aid questions. The Scholarship Resource Center (SRC) is located in 233 Covel Commons. The SRC has a website that covers a large collection of information about scholarships offered by outside organizations for those students who are proactive about their finances and willing to look for and find scholarship opportunities. The Ethnomusicology Department hosts a limited number of scholarship competitions throughout the academic year for students currently enrolled in the major. These scholarships are one time awards that cover a portion of the student's fees. The level of support varies from year to year, depending on departmental resources. If selected for admission to the Ethnomusicology department, prospective students are eligible to compete for these scholarships upon enrollment at the university.
